Well, Sedo is quite obviously making money from typo squatters since they monetize unused domains. Another big player is Google who, besides their domain parking service, makes a lot of money from typo domains. I don't mind, but according to this webpronews article there is even a law suite against the practice. What strikes me is that registering typo domains with the purpose of slapping some Adsense on them isn't that far from any other supposedly legit MFA (Made For Adsense) site out there. I make some money using typo domains to send traffic to CPA (Cost Per Action) offers but at the moment it's not much more than the domain fees. It is very automated though, so it's kind of free money.
