I just finished reading Crush It! by Gary Vaynerchuk. It was well worth the time reading. The reward leans more towards the inspirational side than the informational, but that is probably because I've spent way to much time reading about internet marketing already.

I guess it is a narrow path to walk. To cater to both those who don't know about the power of Twitter, Facebook et al. and those that already know who @garyvee is.

Apple to remove sexy apps

According to articles all over, Apple is about to remove all 'sexy' applications from the app store.

Who's definition of sexy should apply?

Is there a mathematical rule that separates a tight short top of female runners from the bikini of a car washing colleague student?

I guess all apps covering the Summer Olympics are banned. In regard to all latex fetishists out there, I guess we can't have Winter Olympics either, with all those tight speed suits.

Goggle might be getting scary big, but at least I am allowed to put whatever I want on an Android phone or a Windows phone if I'm in to that.

This is probably my biggest concern with the iPad. If the content of apps are regulated, what stops Apple from regulating what sites you are allowed to see?

In response to an article in The New York Times Amit Singhal from Google tries to clarify how they rank their search results.

I don't think there was any new information in there for internet marketers and SEO people. What I find alarming is the idea of regulated search. The only way that would work is if the algorithms was written by someone totally neutral to the entire world and all search engines would have to use the same algorithms. That would be a web spammers heaven.
