Here is a step by step guide to finding all backlinks to your competitors site. We are then going to sort them by pagerank and filter out those that are blogs.

When you've found all those bloggs linking back to your competitor you can start to match them link for link.

Redirect in WordPress with GoCodes

GoCodes is a WordPress plugin that manages redirects to sites outside your blog.

Instead of linking somewhere with an affiliate link you create a GoCode and link to your own site instead.

Here's a link to a site where you can buy and sell backlinks. That way I can change what backlink provider I want to promote.

Before I started using GoCodes I had to spend hours on editing old blog posts when an affiliate offer was removed. Now all I have to do is change the destination of my redirect.

I have no measurements to back me, but as far as I know there are some SEO benefits to link to your own pages.
